Founders of Rising Sun with the first student of the institute

Dr. Abdul Tawwab Khan and Mrs. Perveen Tawwab started their life long volunteer work for special children after they saw the mother of a child with Downs Syndrome break down and cry. What started as a pledge to support a girl with special needs and her family, has grown into an NGO serving thousands of families and their special children. Dr. and Mrs. Abdul Tawwab Khan represent a progressive and visionary struggle for empowerment of persons with special needs. Objectives

  • “Orientation and capacity building of regular school teachers about special needs and inclusive education so that increasing number of special children are given education along with their peers in their own environment.”
  • To create community awareness about needs of Inclusive Education for CWDs (Children with Disabilities) and highlight our role towards community & to prepare literature for the parents of CWDs  and to train them to look after their children.
  • To provide medical, psycho-educational, speech & language assessment and therapy services to CWDs  enrolled at Rising Sun Institute or referred by different specialists and professionals.
  • Human Resource Development for teaching and training of Rising Sun and other similar institutions.

Rising Sun Education & Welfare Society – USA Chapter

Rising Sun Education & Welfare Society – USA Chapter is now registered with the IRS as a 501-(c)(3) tax-exempt not for profit organization with EIN 83-4169569 which has been established to support Rising Sun Education & Welfare Society.

Resource augmenting will support various projects of rising Sun Education & Welfare Society through local and online fund raising activities. The funds so received through USA Chapter will be transparently utilized serving the cause of special children through its projects. A separate website being launched for USA Chapter.

Senior Vice President (Mr. Mahmood Ahmad) and General Secretary (Dr. Shahzad Tawwab) visited USA. They elaborated the projects of Rising Sun Education & Welfare Society in Fund Raising Dinner at Austin, Texas, USA, Hosted by Mr. Irfan Waheed. Few glimpses of fundraising dinner.
